Veterinarians

Dr_McCoyDr. Todd McCoy completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and Archaeology at the University of Houston where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1995. He graduated from the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. He spent the next several years acquiring advanced training in veterinary dentistry and developing a general practice with a strong emphasis in veterinary dentistry. He began a residency program in Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery in January 2011, and completed the program in June of 2013.His special interests are periodontal disease, endodontics, and oral surgery. Dr. McCoy is a member of the American Veterinary Dental Society, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. McCoy and his wife, Stephanie have three children and a Yorkshire terrier named Woody. Dr. McCoy’s hobbies include kayaking and learning how to play the acoustic guitar. Veterinarian Dr. McCoy also enjoys participating in scouting activities with his son. When he is not involved in his children’s extra-curricular activities or church activities, Dr. McCoy enjoys spending time exploring nature.
 IMG_0288 Dr. Deana Kmiecik received her veterinary medical degree from Texas A&M in 1997. She is the mother of two daughters, Lauren and Hanna. Arnie and Josey are her faithful canine companions. Veterinarian Dr. Kmiecik has special interest in Internal Medicine, Dentistry and Client Education. Dr. Kmiecik is a member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, Harris County Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Evelyn Sierra graduated from Boston University with a degree in Biology. She went on to earn a PhD in Veterinary Anatomy in 1991 followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1993 from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Sierra’s areas of interest include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, preventive care and client education.

Dr. Sierra was born during a blizzard in Brooklyn, New York. She was raised on the beautiful tropical Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. Dr. Sierra has been married to Ed for 25 years and they have a daughter named Marty. She is the proud owner of a black lab named Midnight, a hound mix named Chester, one cockatiel named Moe, an African Grey Parrot who goes by Ivory as well as an Amazon Parrot known as Red. She also has 2 prairie dogs named Pluto & Venus, and a hog-nosed snake named Truffles. Dr. Sierra’s hobbies & interests include scuba diving and reading novels with dragons. She speaks both English and Spanish.

Dr_SimpsonDr. Danielle Simpson has always had a love and compassion for all types of animals. She received her Bachelors degree from Texas A&M University at Galveston and then earned her veterinary degree at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, and has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. Veterinarian Dr. Simpson has a passion for working with dogs and cats, and also has a strong love for marine mammals. Prior to attending veterinary school she worked at Nasa Pet Hospital as a technician and is very excited to return to the team. When she is not working, veterinarian Dr. Simpson enjoys cooking healthy meals, working out, and anything outdoors. She loves spending time with her fur babies Cody and Lillian, and hopes to add another furry family member in the future. Dr. Simpson feels very blessed to be back at Nasa Pet Hospital and can’t wait to meet you and your furry companions.
